How it all started.
Our non-profit, Bye Bye Anxiety, started as a COVID relief program donating essential supplies to nursing homes in the Jakarta-Tangerang, Indonesia area. When we realized that many face-to-face ESL programs were discontinued because of social distancing measures, we decided to extend our services by developing this English-speaking program.
Our mission remains the same: to break down barriers brought about by the pandemic, and saying goodbye to all forms of anxiety experienced by students, adults, and minorities. Our hope for this program is to help every learner achieve their English goals.
Our Mission & Vision
What we believe in and our aspirations.
Our mission, to break down barriers brought about by the pandemic, and saying goodbye to all forms of anxiety experienced by students, adults, and minorities.
Our vision, to help ESL learners gain confidence in their English speaking skills.
We aim to further support ESL learners by creating an online speaking program that is completely free of charge. In Bye Bye Anxiety, we have three programs that students will be able to enroll in.
One-on-One Weekly Buddy Meetings

Student & Volunteer Podcast
Hear it from the students.
Once a week, volunteers set aside an hour to teach English. They open their laptop and greet their buddy "Hello". For the next hour the conversation doesn't stop. Volunteers go over grammar, speech, pronunciation, and teach the students to not feel anxious when speaking in English. For that, Bye Bye Anxiety is thankful to the volunteers for their help and the impact they are making in every student's lives.
"I just want to tell her how grateful I am for having her as my buddy. She really inspires me, the way she is comfortable with herself, and the way she is determined with her dream. And she was also really dedicated, she always came up with a good plan for each session and we had a lot of fun together! She's the best! Very lovely and caring. My kindest wishes to her!"
